2017 Illinois DUI Statistics
The Illinois the Secretary of State’s office released the 2019 DUI Fact Book earlier this year, and it has some disturbing findings. The Fact Book features statistics from past years and key information about arrests and procedures. Although it is not a legal guide through the DUI process, it is very detailed. 2017 DUI Statistics
-Of the 1,090 fatal crashes that occurred in Illinois, 30 percent were a result of alcohol impairment.
-91 percent of the persons arrested for DUI had their license revoked or suspended
-86 percent of drivers arrested this year were first-time offenders
-In total, there were 27,046 arrests for DUI recorded.
