An SR22 is a certification issued by your car insurance company showing proof that you are carrying the minimum liability coverage. The Quick SR22 is here to help regardless of which form you need. The Quick SR22 offers electronic SR22 filings in the following terms:
Operator's Certificate or Non Owner SR22
Operator’s certificates, commonly referred to as Non Owner SR22 filings, cover drivers in non owned vehicles. A non owner SR22 policy is most beneficial to drivers that frequently rent or borrow cards and drivers who need proof of insurance to get their driver’s license reinstated but do not own a car.
A SR22 owner’s certificate covers cars owned by the driver. The cars must be listed on the SR22 filing in order to be insured. The advantage of an owner’s policy is the ability to lend a car to other licensed drivers when you need to.
A SR22 operators-owners certificate covers all cars owned or no owned by the driver.
SR22 Without a License
If you receive a letter from the Secretary of State saying you need a SR22 certificate of financial responsibility but do not have a valid driver’s license, the state of Illinois will assign your case a number that you can use for an SR22 filing.
